Elasticity: This fabric has no significant elasticity, but as it is designed to be loose and blousy this doesn’t really matter. The waist band of the palazzo pants is elasticised, meaning there is much scope for waist size variation - great for those who have an active job or a belly that swells throughout the day. It’s also wonderful for pregnant sisters as there is enough space in this outfit to conform to their changing body for a long time!

Interestingly, the shirt on this outfit has elasticised cuffs that are approximately 25cm long. This means they can be folded over and displayed, or the loose cotton fabric can be left to blouse over them leaving only a few centimetres of this cuff on display. Or, you can run the cuff up your forearm so it cannot be seen and the cotton material of the blouse seems to just billow at the wrist. An interesting and versatile feature of this beautifully quirky pants suit.

This is a very interesting outfit. It borrows from the British tradition of blouses with ample room that just gently fall over the breasts. But this is teamed with modern palazzo pants and “tails” or a long extension at the back of the blouse that ensures it falls over the buttocks without grabbing tightly. As such, the blouse can be worn loose or tucked in just at the front waist band.

Equally, there is a fascinating pattern on this pants suit, with an uneven almost patchwork movement between solid colour and pattern. This combined with the bright orange border at the bottom of the blouse and pants and on the highly unusual elasticised cuffs, makes for a fabulously individual, fun and stylish modest pants suit.
