Elasticity: There is no elasticity in the fabric of this product as it is a cotton blend. However, it will stretch to fit in places it feels tight similar to the way denim stretches. However, the pants in these garments are usually elasticised, so this means they can often stretch to fit someone one size larger, as they are loose palazzo style. Likewise, they are comfortable for an extended period for pregnant ladies as the elastic will grow with your waist.

Once again, there is no way for us to provide a perfect definition of what constitutes a Pakistani salwar kameez versus an Indian, Afghani or Bangladeshi salwar kameez. However there are some trends that are particular to Pakistani salwar kameez and these features make them a truly stylish and elegant outfit for women.

Generally speaking, Pakistani salwar kameez tend to have a longer kameez (top) than their Indian counterparts. This could reach down to the knee or all the way down to the ankles. Likewise, the kameez tends to be less fitted across the bust. Happily for women like myself who carry some weight on our arms (or for those with strong muscles), Pakistani salwar kameez tend to have wide full length sleeves that are rarely cuffed, and so drape beautifully across the wrist.

The designs on Pakistani salwar kameez are also particular in their style. There tends to be a trend towards larger floral prints, and vignettes, with bouquets and vased flower arrangements being a popular floral image. Likewise, it is far less common to see repeated floral patterns, with flowers being used as borders to highlight other visual features or embroidery.
